Most of all, the parties are given control of the process and the outcome, as opposed to litigation, where a judge decides each issue. My Role in the Process
I am qualified to act as a mediator in California divorce cases. When mediating a case, I try to facilitate open communication between the spouses and encourage them to come to an agreement that is acceptable to them. If an agreement is reached, I will prepare all the documents necessary to finalize the agreement and take it to the family court for approval.
When acting as a mediator, I do not advocate for either party. Rather, I am there to move the process along and help the spouses reach fair compromises.
